Named after the Dahomey Women and as depicted in the mega-hit movie, Black Panther, this cuff is remenicent of the Dahomean troops - a Fon all-female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey in the present-day Republic of Benin which lasted until 1904.  It is written that Dahomey Women were a fearsome sight, barefoot and bristling with clubs and knives.
